WEEKLY GOLF COURSE PICTURE UPDATE as of 8-1-22 (10:00AM) | Check out these pictures of current conditions of the golf course fairways and greens. Recently Kevin G had this to say about The Divide Golf Club…”I have been playing The Divide since moving to Indian Trail in 2015. Since renovations started roughly two years ago, I can say things have improved dramatically with the greens headlining the upgrade. Not only are the greens fair and provide a true roll, the fairways and tee boxes are well maintained.  I consider The Divide my home course and when having to play elsewhere, I am always happy to return home to play.”

Converting the putting greens to Diamond Zoysia grass has proven to be highly beneficial in the Southeastern part of the country. Year-round playability has improved, and while golfers must wait up to 18 months for greens to mature, it means more golfing days during the preferred playing seasons. The Diamond Zoysia greens require much less hand watering, which reduces the inconvenience for golfers. In addition, ball marks are virtually non-existent.

Diamond Zoysia is a fine-textured, warm-season grass variety with excellent tolerance to low-light conditions and high traffic. Diamond Zoysia exhibits superior shade tolerance which translates into reduced tree work and preservation of the existing golf course layout. It has outstanding recuperative abilities making it a logical choice for golf course putting surfaces. It also has better fall color retention than most other zoysia grass varieties and has an early spring green-up.
